The Financial Operations Supervisor will play a crucial role in managing and directing all facets of the financial activities within the organization. This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Finance. The responsibilities of the Financial Operations Supervisor encompass the precise and timely preparation and analysis of all aspects of the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards. Key tasks include generating monthly financial statements, conducting reporting and analysis, reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations, overseeing cash management, preparing budgets and forecasts, and addressing various ad hoc requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and support the professional growth of finance team members.
  • Guarantee accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
  • Compile support schedules for monthly financial packages.
  • Conduct monthly variance analysis and commentary for Balance Sheet and Income Statement.
  • Review and identify discrepancies in balance sheet account reconciliations monthly.
  • Collaborate in the oversight of annual budgeting and re-forecasting processes.
  • Provide backup support for daily cash flow management.
  • Prepare detailed analyses and workpapers to assist business management and General Ledger activities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting procedures by evaluating current practices for effectiveness and efficiency, and proposing improvements.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with team members by researching and interpreting data, and responding effectively to inquiries.
  • Execute ad hoc projects as deemed necessary.
  • Prepare for annual audits by compiling and reviewing audit schedules and providing necessary support to auditors.
  • Manage regulatory inquiries and communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business with a focus on Accounting.
  • Extensive knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and departmental cost accounting, along with a solid understanding of GAAP and IFRS.
  • Proficient in systems implementations.
  • Strong attention to detail and awareness of the macroeconomic environment.
  • Ability to manage team members while multitasking effectively.
