MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Five years of experience in accounting or finance with progressively responsible roles in a manufacturing context.

ABOUT THE JOB:

The Financial Analyst-Operations position is accountable for evaluating actual performance against standards and budgets, preparing monthly management reports, and collaborating with the Operations team to ensure the precision of information that influences financial outcomes.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel formulas and functions.
  • Guiding the cost accounting process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Enhancing productivity through the development of automated reporting and analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with Infor XA, SAP, or Oracle ERP systems is advantageous.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborating closely with Operations, Engineering, Accounting, and Finance Teams to deliver accurate and timely reporting and analysis to stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, including direct and indirect manufacturing costs.
  • Working with standard cost systems and analyzing production variances to provide insights for improvement.
  • Supporting operational-related financial activities linked to strategic projects aimed at strengthening and evolving the business model and enhancing profitability.
  • Contributing to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reporting and KPIs.
  • Comparing actual product costs with budgets, estimates, or standards and analyzing results.
  • Managing the month-end close process, including necessary journal entries and reconciling inventory to ensure financial integrity.
  • Assisting with annual site year-end physical inventory.
  • Supporting bid and proposal efforts for production activities, including compliance with requests for proposals, product costing, and developing summaries for review.
  • Providing support for external audits.
  • Ensuring financial processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Collaborating with Product Managers to support costing and pricing strategies.
