POSITION SUMMARY
The Financial Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Controller by managing the financial activities of the organization.

This position involves leading the accounting team, ensuring precise and timely financial reporting, upholding internal controls, and contributing to the organization's mission through effective financial stewardship.

The Financial Operations Supervisor will collaborate closely with various departments to deliver financial insights and facilitate informed decision-making processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Oversight

Direct the daily financial functions of the organization.

Prepare, assess, and interpret board and management financial reports to guarantee accuracy and thoroughness for Controller endorsement.

Maintain the general ledger and confirm that all transactions are accurately documented.

Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.

Budgeting and Financial Projections

Assist in formulating the annual budget and financial forecasts.

Track budget performance and report on discrepancies.

Provide financial analysis to aid in strategic planning and decision-making.

Compliance and Internal Controls

Ensure adherence to all financial regulations and standards.

Develop, implement, and uphold internal control policies and procedures.

Lead the coordination and preparation for annual external audits.

Team Leadership

Guide and mentor the accounting team, offering direction and support.

Conduct performance assessments and identify opportunities for professional growth.

Promote a collaborative and positive workplace culture.

Grant and Donor Fund Management

Oversee and report on grants and donor contributions.

Ensure precise tracking and reporting of restricted funds.

Assist with grant applications and fulfill financial reporting obligations.

Collaboration and Support

Work in partnership with other departments to provide financial insights and assistance.

Support fundraising initiatives with relevant financial data and analysis.

Engage in organizational meetings and contribute to strategic planning efforts.

INTERACTION
This role will involve close interaction with employees, visitors, volunteers, donors, and partner representatives. The position will also engage with all staff members.
