The Finance and Accounting Lead will play a crucial role in managing and supervising all elements of financial operations. This position will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Finance. The responsibilities of the Finance and Accounting Lead encompass the precise and timely preparation and analysis of all aspects of the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS. Key tasks include generating monthly financial statements, conducting reporting and analysis, reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations, overseeing cash management, preparing budgets and forecasts, and addressing various ad hoc requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the mentoring and professional growth of the finance team members.
  • Guarantee accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for monthly financial packages.
  • Conduct monthly variance analysis and commentary for Balance Sheet and Income Statement.
  • Review monthly reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts and identify discrepancies.
  • Collaborate in overseeing the annual budgeting and re-forecasting processes.
  • Provide backup and support for daily cash flow management.
  • Prepare complex analyses and workpapers to support business management and General Ledger activities.
  • Assist in developing and implementing accounting procedures by evaluating current practices for effectiveness and efficiency; offer recommendations and implementation strategies for process improvements.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with team members by researching, interpreting data, and responding effectively to inquiries.
  • Engage in ad hoc projects as deemed necessary.
  • Prepare for annual audits by compiling and reviewing audit schedules and providing necessary support to auditors.
  • Manage regulatory inquiries and communications.
