Job Overview

The Administrative Assistant provides a diverse range of administrative, clerical, and advanced support to departmental staff and mid-level management. Responsibilities may vary and can be project-specific or general administrative tasks, adapting to the needs of the organization.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

For roles requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational credentials must be from an institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Requirements: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling, are necessary. Additionally, candidates must meet one of the following:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of one and a half (1 1⁄2) years of experience in a clerical or secretarial support position involving program coordination and development.
  • An Associate degree in secretarial science or a related field with at least six months of experience in a clerical or secretarial support role related to program coordination and development.

Preferred Qualifications: An Associate degree in secretarial science or a related field is preferred. At least one and a half (1 1⁄2) years of experience as an Administrative Secretary in the relevant area is advantageous. Experience in a healthcare setting is also preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook calendars, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe software is beneficial.
