Job Summary

SNI Companies is seeking a Part-Time Patient Services Representative to join our team in a large radiology firm in Mercer County, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Assist patients in completing necessary forms and documents for medical records and services, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Provide information about the healthcare facility, services offered, and answer inquiries from patients and their families, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  • Retrieve and release medical records to authorized personnel, ensuring proper authorization and documentation.
  • Process requests for medical records in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining accurate tracking and documentation.
  • Enter patient information into the electronic health record (EHR) system accurately and promptly, ensuring data integrity.
  • Verify and update demographic and insurance information, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth communication and collaboration related to patient care and records.
  • Adhere to relevant healthcare laws, regulations, and compliance requirements regarding patient privacy, confidentiality, and medical records management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, health information systems, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software for data entry, record management, and communication.
