Job Overview

Reno Staffing is seeking multiple Cable Assembly Technicians for a leading Electronics Manufacturing Company in the South Reno area. This position offers a promising temp-to-hire opportunity with a newly established organization.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Compensation: $20/hr. - $22/hr. based on experience
Location: South Reno

Key Responsibilities:

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Retrieve kits with designated work order numbers from the staging area.
  • Accurately identify and count all components (connectors, contacts, screws, washers, etc.) according to the Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Utilize assembly drawings, work instructions, BOM, and schematics to assemble cable harnesses with precision and adherence to guidelines.
  • Perform machine or manual cleaning of assemblies as required.
  • Tools and Equipment: Cable harnesses, label printers, hand and electrical tools, soldering equipment compliant with IPC 610 standards, cable testing devices, and hardware.
  • Additional job-related tasks may be assigned at the discretion of your supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; must demonstrate reliability with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cable harness assembly.
  • Ability to perform accurate counting.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and effective communication skills.
  • Capability to read and interpret documents along with basic computer proficiency.
  • Experience with ISO-9000 is a plus.
  • Proficiency in cable harness contact crimping and soldering is required.
