Job Overview

Reno Staffing is seeking multiple Cable Assembly Technicians for a reputable Electronics Manufacturing Company in the South Reno area.

This position offers a promising temp-to-hire opportunity with a newly established organization in the region.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Compensation: $20/hr. - $22/hr. depending on experience.
Location: South Reno

Key Responsibilities:
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Retrieve kits with the designated work order number from the staging area.
  • Accurately identify and count all components (connectors, contacts, screws, washers, etc.) as per the Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Utilize assembly drawings, work instructions, BOM, and schematics to construct cable harnesses, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and adherence to the provided documentation.
  • Perform machine or manual cleaning of assemblies as required.
  • Tools and Equipment: Engage with cable harnesses, label printers, hand/electrical tools, soldering equipment compliant with IPC 610 standards, cable testing apparatus, and hardware.
  • Additional job-related tasks may be assigned at the discretion of your supervisor.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; must exhibit reliability with exceptional attention to detail and precision.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in cable harness assembly.
  • Proficient counting skills.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and effective communication abilities.
  • Capability to read and interpret documents, along with basic computer proficiency.
  • Experience with ISO-9000 is preferred.
  • Experience in cable harness contact crimping and soldering is essential.

A resume highlighting relevant work experience, along with an in-person interview and skills assessment for assembly, soldering, and cable harness tasks, will be necessary for consideration.
