Job Overview

Reno Staffing is seeking several Cable Assembly Technicians for a reputable Electronics Manufacturer located in the South Reno area. This position offers a promising temp-to-hire opportunity with a company that is establishing its presence in the region.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, with shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Compensation: $20/hr. - $22/hr. based on experience.
Location: South Reno

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve kits according to the assigned work order from the staging area.
  • Accurately identify and count all components (connectors, contacts, screws, washers, etc.) as per the Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Assemble cable harnesses using assembly drawings, work instructions, BOM, and prints, ensuring attention to detail and adherence to guidelines.
  • Perform machine or hand cleaning of assemblies as required.
  • Tools and Equipment: Work with cable harnesses, label printers, hand/electrical tools, soldering equipment compliant with IPC 610 standards, cable testing devices, and hardware.
  • Additional job-related tasks may be assigned at the discretion of your supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; must demonstrate reliability with a keen eye for detail and precision.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in cable harness assembly is required.
  • Ability to perform accurate counting.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents, along with basic computer skills.
  • Experience with ISO-9000 standards is a plus.
  • Experience in cable harness contact crimping and soldering is essential.

A resume detailing relevant work experience, along with an in-person interview and skills assessment for assembly, soldering, and cable harness tasks, will be necessary for consideration.
