Position Overview: The Engineering Analyst role is offered at MELE Associates, Inc., focusing on supporting the Nuclear Emergency Support Team's (NEST) Standards & Training Program (NSTP) within the NNSA's NA-84 Office of Nuclear Incident Response.

  • Assess field diagnostics data for precision and reliability.
  • Engage with responders and technical teams to uphold data integrity.
  • Facilitate training initiatives across various teams.
  • Travel requirements are approximately 20%.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
Employment Conditions:
  • U.S. citizenship is required, with eligibility for a DOE Q security clearance.
  • Consent to undergo background and substance testing.
  • Capability to work in an office environment and after hours under high-pressure situations.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively with technical experts.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Possession of an active Q Clearance.
  • Experience in spectral analysis and nuclear diagnostics is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with CWMD and emergency operations protocols.
