The Electrical Engineering Analyst position is a critical role within the NNSA's NA-84 Office of Nuclear Incident Response, specifically within the Nuclear Emergency Support Team's (NEST) Standards & Training Program (NSTP).
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and verify the accuracy of transmitted field diagnostics data.
Engage with field responders to enhance data quality as necessary. Collaborate with the Joint Technical Operations Team (JTOT) and NSTP Standards division to uphold data accuracy standards.
Work alongside the NSTP Curriculum Development and Training teams to ensure that training activities and exercises are effectively coordinated with the THT. Perform additional duties as assigned. Travel may be required up to 20%.
Employment Conditions:
Access to DOE sites and interactions with JTOT necessitate that the selected candidate be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining a DOE Q security clearance.
The candidate may need to provide written consent for a background check to secure a security clearance as a condition of employment.
Regular reviews and tests for illegal substances may be required for ongoing access to DOE sites; written consent for such tests may also be required.
Candidates should be able to sit for extended periods and work in an office environment, which includes extensive computer use, under potentially stressful conditions.
Availability for after-hours work during exercises is also expected.Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Adaptability to a rapidly changing environment is essential.
Must be a self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills, capable of multitasking and collaborating with a team of technical experts across various security and emergency operations disciplines.
Attention to detail is crucial.Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Possession of an active Q Clearance is preferred. Experience in spectral analysis and nuclear diagnostics is advantageous. Familiarity with CWMD/Rad/Nuc processes and procedures is also beneficial.
LOCATION:
This is a full-time onsite role.

Salary will be determined based on various factors, including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate's relevant knowledge, skills, and abilities.
