Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Coordinator to join our team at the Center for Orthopedic and Research Excel. As a Medical Office Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic by scheduling appointments, managing patient information, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule clinic appointments, including consultations and follow-up visits, utilizing our electronic medical record (EMR) system and scheduling tool.
  • Patient Data Management: Collect and verify patient demographic information, insurance details, and medical history.
  • Referral Processing: Utilize our referral system to process referrals, contact patients to schedule appointments, and import referral documents into patient charts.
  • Customer Service: Answer and resolve incoming calls and requests in a timely and accurate manner, providing excellent customer service to our patients.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate with supervisors and leads about patient concerns, triage and relay messages to appropriate staff members, and participate in daily operations with the pre-registration team.
  • Confidentiality and Compliance: Ensure the confidentiality of all health records and member information, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in the healthcare field, with previous call center experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational skills, strong customer service orientation, and proficiency in computers and data entry.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance plans.
