Role and Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of 2 or more individuals or managers within the Compliance + Security Operations group, setting direction and driving the team to meet goals.
  • Lead efforts for regulatory mock audits, gap analysis, and compliance assessments.
  • Provide technical support on regulatory requirements and lead discussions on complex regulatory situations.
  • Manage day-to-day compliance activities for our clients, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and standards.
  • Define team direction, develop, resource, and manage large scope and long-term projects, making resource, scope, and delivery tradeoffs as necessary.
  • Facilitate meetings with external stakeholders and cross-functional teams, resolve issues within and across teams, and mentor team members on job-specific roles, communication, and collaboration.
  • Establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements, develop compensation planning, career coaching, training, and administer company policies for the team.
  • Work with other senior managers to drive cross-functional team improvement initiatives to optimize the business and propose updates to division policies.
Required Qualifications & Education
  • 2-4 years of management experience.
  • Expertise in senior management.
  • Proven documentation, presentation, and communication skills with working teams and senior-level management, CEOs, and boards of directors.
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Able to set direction and drive large cross-functional teams to success, able to work as part of a larger team.
  • Proven success in personnel management, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Strong project and people management skills, organizing work, planning, monitoring, and making tradeoffs to ensure quality deliveries.
  • Able to liaise with clients and internal teams on significant issues that require high-level management intervention in a professional manner.
  • Root cause analysis and process improvement, big-picture thinking that drives teams to meet organizational goals and provides cross-functional improvements.
Preferred Experience
  • Regulatory audit experience in at least one of the NERC Regions.
  • Experience with NERC Standards.
  • Experience with NERC RSAWs and ERT.
  • Second-level management of a large team.
  • Successful delivery of large cross-functional projects.
  • Expertise in senior manager-specific activities.
  • Process improvement experience with Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
  • Experience in the green energy or utilities domain.
  • Experience with a U.S.-based company.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
  • Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to distill information and present it in an understandable manner appropriate for the audience.

Compensation

The pay range for this role is $83,150 USD per year (Remote).
