Job Title: Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager to join our team at Wise. As a key member of our Regulatory Oversight Compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective mitigation of regulatory compliance risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to internal teams and stakeholders on regulatory compliance matters, including state money transmission license requirements and federal consumer regulations.
  • Develop and maintain the Regulatory Compliance oversight framework, including policies and procedures.
  • Execute and enhance quarterly monitoring across key risk areas.
  • Provide adequate challenge to first-line teams on the development of controls and approve control changes, new products, or features.
  • Represent regulatory compliance oversight internally and externally to regulators, auditors, and partners.
  • Assist in the preparation of committee and board papers.
  • Support regulatory change management by maintaining oversight of implementation of developments impacting business activities.
  • Proactively identify key areas of risk and work with first-line teams to develop mitigation plans.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a Financial Regulation advisory role, Compliance/Legal department, Risk and Controls function, or consultancy environment.
  • J.D., Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager, or similar qualification.
  • Familiarity with regulations such as Reg E, UDAAP, E-Sign Act, and state Money Transmission License regulations.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex regulatory frameworks and apply them effectively.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Problem-solving attitude with the ability to use regulations and data to drive business decisions.
  • Experience working in a fast-growing environment.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
