Position Overview

The Assistant Project Manager will oversee a range of fixed-duration projects, with budgets ranging from $200,000 to $2 million. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all project aspects are managed effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the management of project timelines and deliverables.

• Address change orders and develop new business proposals to enhance project outcomes.

• Collaborate with internal teams to establish contract terms and pricing strategies.

• Ensure compliance with Mirion Technologies' project management policies and adhere to PMI standards in managing network-based physical security system projects.

• Manage project financials, including profit and loss statements, and oversee subcontractor financial management.

• Act as the primary point of contact between clients, external stakeholders, and subcontractors.

• Contribute to the design and execution of large-scale implementations.

• Travel may be required for site meetings as necessary.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or five years of related experience in lieu of a degree.

• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to access restrictions; candidates may need to obtain security clearance.

• A minimum of three years of experience in a project management or team lead role within a matrix organization.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in project management methodologies and practices.

• Experience in managing projects involving multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.

• Familiarity with software and hardware project management.

• Proficient in Microsoft Project and Jira.

Preferred Experience

• Background in nuclear programs and managing subcontractors.

• Advanced knowledge of business operations, spreadsheet management, and information systems.

• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and technologies.

Additional Information

• Experience with fixed-price and/or time and materials projects involving technical systems, including networking equipment, surveillance cameras, access control systems, and command and control platforms is advantageous.

Note

• Candidates must be US Citizens.

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred, with a technical degree being advantageous. A minimum of five years of relevant experience is required, or six to eight years of experience without a Bachelor's degree.

• PMP certification is preferred.
