Job Overview
The Project Construction Manager will:
• Oversee the on-site team from the initiation of construction through to project completion.
• Identify and address design flaws, scheduling issues, and other project-specific challenges proactively.
• Clearly communicate and interpret the contract scope to the entire site management team.
• Conduct preconstruction meetings with all subcontractors before the commencement of each work phase.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive project production schedule.
• Review and assist in formulating scopes of work for each subcontractor.
• Implement a Quality Control Plan effectively.
• Review and authorize all invoices and requisitions to ensure accurate vendor payments.
• Enforce safety protocols to guarantee adherence to OSHA safety standards at the job site.
• Supervise and assess assigned project personnel while fostering a positive work atmosphere.
• Maintain regular communication with owners, construction managers, other superintendents, and project coordinators to ensure project milestones are met.
The Ideal Candidate
The Project Construction Manager should possess:
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction manager for a commercial general contractor.
• OSHA certification (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven experience in leading ground-up construction projects and managing a sizable team.
