Position Overview
The role involves overseeing fixed-term projects ranging from $200,000 to $2 million. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing change orders and new business proposals as part of the overall project management process.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage project financials (P&L), including the financial oversight of subcontractors.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, external stakeholders, and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop contract and pricing strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all project management policies specific to Mirion Technologies, while adhering to generally accepted PMI project principles.
• Participate in the design and execution of large-scale implementations.
• Occasional travel may be necessary for site meetings.
Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or five years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to restricted facility access; security clearance may be required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a project management or team lead role within a matrix-structured organization.
Essential Skills
• Proficient understanding of project management processes.
• Experience managing projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with software and hardware technologies management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project and Jira is advantageous.
Desired Experience
• Background in nuclear programs and managing subcontractors.
• Advanced skills in business practices, spreadsheet manipulation, and information systems.
• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and technologies.
• Experience with fixed-price and/or time and materials projects, particularly in technical system projects involving networking equipment, cameras, access control, and Command and Control platforms.
Additional Notes
- PMP certification is preferred.
- A technical degree is favored, with a minimum of five years of experience required, or six to eight years of experience without a Bachelor's degree.
