About the Role

The Senior Associate Director of Projects will be responsible for the onsite coordination of all design services, construction, and other professionals engaged in the planning, design, and implementation of major capital renovations, facility renewal fund projects, and mechanical upgrades within the Wharton School's one million square foot campus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Responsible for the coordination of all design services, construction, and other professionals engaged in the planning, design, and implementation of major capital renovations, facility renewal fund projects, and mechanical upgrades.
  • Master Planning: Develop and implement five-year master plans for infrastructure and space within the Wharton School's campus.
  • Project Budgeting: Track and maintain project budgets, ensuring timely and within-budget completion of projects.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between Wharton and Central Facilities Project Management, communicating project updates and progress to stakeholders.
  • Team Management: Supervise and manage a team of professionals responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of projects.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least five years of progressive experience in project management, construction, or a related field, with a focus on supervision and budget administration.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiating, and organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
