Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and patient-focused Patient Service Representative to join our medical practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our patients.

Your primary responsibilities will include greeting and checking-in patients, verifying information, and facilitating communication between patients, family members, and medical staff. You will also be responsible for scheduling appointments, processing payments, and maintaining accurate patient records.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask effectively, and provide excellent customer service. If you are a team player with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer multi-line phones and direct callers to the appropriate party or handle their needs
  • Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in, and obtain necessary information
  • Provide patients with intake and new patient forms, as well as office policies and required documents
  • Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits
  • Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on physician availability
  • Maintain accurate patient records, both hard copy and electronic
  • Remind patients of upcoming appointments and schedule testing for off-site services
  • Provide patients with support and guidance as needed
Requirements
  • High School Degree or GED
  • Prior administrative or front desk experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
  • Physical ability to work long hours in a stressful environment
