Job Summary:

As a Patient Access Representative Associate at Optum, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient experiences. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting and welcoming patients, collecting demographic and financial data, and entering information into electronic medical records. You will also be responsible for verifying insurance eligibility, resolving claim issues, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome patients in person
  • Collect demographic and insurance information
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits information
  • Resolve claim issues and registration errors
  • Provide technical or functional direction to employees
  • Assist patients with financial assistance programs
Requirements:
  • 2 years of customer service experience
  • 6 months of revenue cycle experience in a healthcare/hospital setting
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work every other Saturday & Sunday from 7:00am - 3:30pm
  • Ability to work 1-3 weekdays per week from 7:00am - 3:30pm
