Strategic Initiatives Manager

The Strategic Initiatives Manager is responsible for leading and managing supply chain projects to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and requirements. These initiatives require extensive collaboration across various functions within the Supply Chain and the broader organization. The role involves creating comprehensive project plans, conducting risk assessments, developing training and communication strategies, and ensuring the overall success of initiatives.
In this position, you will oversee all project elements, including timelines, adherence to performance metrics, risk management, and stakeholder communications. You will ensure that cross-functional team members deliver their contributions on time and within the defined project scope. This role demands proficiency in navigating a complex, matrixed environment and the ability to lead teams through influence and alignment with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate project plans and drive key milestones
- Lead and manage projects through all phases, from initiation to completion
- Ensure adherence to agreed-upon scope, timelines, and quality standards
- Exhibit strong communication, negotiation, and project planning skills
- Implement risk management strategies throughout project execution and resolve conflicts associated with managing multiple high-priority projects

- Proven track record of overcoming challenges and achieving results
- Ability to foster and maintain relationships across internal and external teams
- Proactively identify and address customer and stakeholder needs
- Act as a change agent, collaborating effectively at all organizational levels
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
- Strategic thinker with the capability to translate strategies into actionable plans
- Comfortable managing ambiguity and providing clarity throughout the project lifecycle
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Expertise in change management, prioritization, and facilitation
- Commitment to high standards of quality and performance
- Strong organizational skills with a hands-on management approach
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required; PMP certification or equivalent training preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration and partnership skills; ability to influence colleagues across various functions
- 1-3 years of experience managing medium to large-scale projects and presenting complex results to senior leadership
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and financial literacy
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and project management tools
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently in a cross-functional setting
- Proficient in prioritizing and driving initiatives within a matrixed environment
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to identify and lead initiatives that yield significant business impact
- Experience in supply chain, product management, or financial project management is advantageous
- Minimal domestic travel may be required
