Manager of Supply Chain Projects

The Strategic Initiatives Manager is responsible for guiding and supervising supply chain projects to ensure that new programs align with organizational objectives and standards. These initiatives require extensive collaboration within the Supply Chain and across various departments. The role involves developing comprehensive project plans, conducting risk assessments, creating training and communication strategies, and ensuring overall project success.
This position oversees all project dimensions, including timelines, compliance with performance metrics, risk management, and stakeholder communications. The Manager ensures that cross-functional team members complete their tasks on schedule and within the defined project scope. Proficiency in navigating a complex, matrixed environment is essential, along with the ability to lead through influence and align teams with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate project plans and drive milestones to completion.
- Lead and manage projects through all phases, from initiation to closure.
- Ensure adherence to agreed-upon scope, timelines, and quality standards.
- Demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication, negotiation, and project planning skills.
- Implement risk management strategies in project planning and execution, addressing issues and conflicts that arise in managing multiple high-priority projects.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree is required; PMP certification or equivalent training is preferred.
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to influence colleagues across various business functions.
- 1-3 years of experience in managing medium to large-scale projects and presenting complex outcomes to senior management.
- Robust business acumen, analytical capabilities, and financial proficiency.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and project management tools.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently in a cross-functional setting.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to identify and lead initiatives that yield significant business impact.
- Experience in supply chain management, product management, or financial project management is advantageous.
- Minimal domestic travel may be required.
