Job Title: Substance Use Specialist
Company: Center for Community Alternatives
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive interviews, assessments, and screenings for individuals with substance use disorders.
- Develop and evaluate personalized treatment plans.
- Facilitate both individual and group counseling sessions.
- Coordinate care and provide referrals to relevant community resources.
- Maintain thorough and accurate case documentation.
- Administer toxicology screenings as required.
- Prepare progress reports for court or other relevant agencies.
- Engage in team case reviews and professional development training.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a New York State CASAC credential.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in substance use counseling and case management.
- Experience working with individuals involved in the legal system.
- Proficient in computer skills and electronic health record systems.
- Strong clinical writing skills.
- Personal experience in recovery or justice involvement is advantageous.
