Job Title: Substance Use Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive interviews, assessments, and screenings for individuals with substance use disorders.
  • Develop and evaluate personalized treatment plans.
  • Facilitate both individual and group counseling sessions.
  • Coordinate care and provide referrals to relevant community resources.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate case documentation.
  • Administer toxicology screenings as required.
  • Prepare progress reports for court or other relevant agencies.
  • Engage in team case reviews and professional development training.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a New York State CASAC credential.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in substance use counseling and case management.
  • Experience working with individuals involved in the legal system.
  • Proficient in computer skills and electronic health record systems.
  • Strong clinical writing skills.
  • Personal experience in recovery or justice involvement is advantageous.
