Role Description:

The Substance Abuse Counselor will be responsible for evaluating clients' needs, developing individualized treatment strategies, and delivering counseling services to individuals, groups, and families. Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and coordinating necessary services.
  • Providing psychoeducation and support tailored to recovery.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of all services rendered in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Staying current with required credentials and evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic, client-focused care.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in delivering direct services for individuals facing substance use challenges, serious mental health issues, and homelessness.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Possession of CASAC or CASAC T certification.
