Are you ready to take the next step in your career? The Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PMEL) program is a structured development initiative aimed at equipping aspiring pharmacists with essential leadership skills and knowledge.

Throughout the program, participants will receive mentorship from a dedicated coach, fostering professional growth through regular check-ins.

This program is designed to enhance your understanding of the vital role pharmacy leaders play in team development and achieving business objectives.

The curriculum focuses on the key competencies necessary for success as a Pharmacy Manager.

Program Structure:
Enrollment is open year-round, with candidates evaluated based on established qualifications.

The PMEL program spans a maximum of 24 months, featuring various assignments and training opportunities to prepare participants for advancement into the Pharmacy Manager role.

Participants will engage in self-directed learning that emphasizes foundational knowledge and critical learning experiences (KLEs), all of which occur outside of standard pharmacist shifts, allowing for practical application of skills.

Selected individuals will maintain their current pharmacist positions while participating in the program.

Interested candidates should inform their manager of their intent to apply and ensure all necessary documentation is ready for submission.

Promotion readiness will be determined by experience, performance, completion of key learning experiences, and successful program participation.

Required Qualifications:
  • Full-time employment (30+ hours per week)
  • Completion of all required training for current role
  • Meets or exceeds expectations on most recent performance evaluation
  • Strong performance on Pharmacy Manager assessment
  • No level three warnings or performance improvement plans in the past year
  • Willingness to accept a promotion into a Pharmacy Manager position if offered
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Staff Pharmacist with CVS Health or equivalent retail pharmacy experience
  • Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy locations within the same or different districts
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree
Compensation and Benefits:
The typical pay range for this role is: $73.00. This range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for all positions within this job grade. Actual salary offers will vary based on experience, education, location, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for bonuses, commissions, or short-term incentives in addition to the base pay.
