Position Summary:

CommuniCare Advantage is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Operations Manager to lead our pharmacy operations effectively.


Role Overview:

In collaboration with the General Manager and Pharmacist-in-Charge, the Pharmacy Operations Manager will provide strategic leadership and support for pharmacy operational activities, ensuring alignment with the directives from the Chief Pharmacy Officer and Vice President of Operations.

This role will serve as the primary leader for the pharmacy technician team, overseeing daily operations to guarantee that our pharmacy meets the service commitments to clients and their residents.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Workflow Management: Ensure efficient execution of daily operations to achieve accurate and timely medication dispensing, including data entry, floor production, and automation cycle production.
  • Staff Scheduling: Develop and approve schedules for pharmacy technicians to ensure adequate staffing levels that align with pharmacy volume.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and address pharmacy-related issues raised by customers or senior leadership, ensuring prompt corrective actions.
  • Staff Onboarding: Participate in the recruitment and training of pharmacy technicians, ensuring adherence to CommuniCare Advantage standards during the onboarding process.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with the General Manager and Pharmacist-in-Charge to ensure all pharmacy operations comply with internal policies and relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Payroll and Labor Management: Work with pharmacy administrative support to review and approve payroll reports, ensuring productivity and labor costs remain within budget.
  • Production Support: Assist in prescription production as needed during high-volume periods.
  • Special Projects: Engage in various special assignments as directed.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with other departments and leadership to align on priorities and support needs.

Qualifications:
  • Nationally Licensed Pharmacy Technician.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in pharmacy, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in Long-Term-Care pharmacy.
  • Preference for candidates familiar with Framework LTC.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of interacting with various levels of leadership.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying workflow vulnerabilities and implementing solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, schedules, and teams effectively.
  • Commitment to quality, compliance, and patient safety.

Licensed Pharmacy Technician

Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel may be required for special projects or meetings.
