Job Title: HR Generalist

At Compass Group Careers, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Generalist to join our team. As an HR Generalist, you will play a critical role in supporting the Human Resources function and ensuring that it meets the needs of the business and our associates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all Company HR related policies are applied consistently and effectively.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to associates and management on HR-related matters, including disciplinary actions and investigations.
  • Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process for hourly associates, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Maintain and coordinate associate recognition programs to boost morale and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws, as well as Company policies and procedures.
  • Regularly review and analyze HR activity reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support the interpretation and feedback process for internal customer and associate engagement surveys.
  • Attend department manager meetings to increase HR visibility and provide training and support as needed.
  • Review and process requests for pay increases and other status changes to ensure internal equity and consistency.
  • Prepare and present HR-related topics and training sessions to associates and management.
  • Act as the diversity champion, leading assigned tasks and corporate diversity activities to promote a culture of inclusion and respect.
  • Assist in the creation of Personal Development Plans for associates and participate in the Annual Performance Appraisal process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field is preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR designation is strongly preferred.
  • Three plus years of human resources generalist experience is required, with management experience a plus.
  • HR experience at a large, multi-unit organization is required.
  • Previous experience in a centralized HR environment, preferably in a corporate setting, is a plus.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills are required, with advanced skills preferred.
  • Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community is a plus.
  • Strong presentation skills are required.
  • Training certification is a plus (e.g., Zenger-Miller, Stephen Covey, etc.).
