Position Overview

We are a leading organization in the beverage distribution sector, seeking dedicated individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and excel in a dynamic sales environment.

We are in search of a seasoned Sales Representative to develop and oversee KEY ACCOUNTS for independent retailers, primarily focusing on Central Los Angeles, Hollywood to West LA. The objective is to enhance the sales of supplier wine and spirit brands through strategic planning, effective sales execution, and clear communication, thereby achieving both company and supplier goals.

Compensation and Benefits Overview:

The offered salary is determined based on internal equity, market data, and the applicant's skills and relevant experience.

Compensation Details

Base Salary: $55,000 + 2% Commission & Incentives Mileage Reimbursement at 67 cents per Business Mile driven

Key Responsibilities

Engage with accounts and manage daily routes by establishing an efficient routing pattern. Assess the entire account base by visiting each account, identifying opportunities, completing necessary surveys, and ensuring compliance with national account standards where applicable. Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations that align the company's priorities with customer needs, including new product placements, drink and wine lists, and promotional activities. Maintain product availability in accounts by conducting inventory checks and restocking shelves as permitted. Educate account personnel on priority brands through training seminars. Manage customer account receivables by processing credits and returns promptly and communicating with accounts regarding aged receivables. Provide service to accounts by delivering products during exceptional circumstances, addressing customer issues, and referring matters to management as necessary. Meet sales and merchandising targets. Strategize and plan effectively to achieve objectives by understanding company pricing and product programming on a monthly basis while maintaining accurate historical purchase data. Collaborate with management on inventory levels by monitoring current stock and alerting management to potential demand fluctuations. Achieve performance standards by meeting distribution, volume, and activity goals set by management. Ensure optimal brand visibility within accounts by adhering to account standards and utilizing effective point-of-sale materials when appropriate. Collect payments from accounts where legally permissible. Support new account openings by developing initial orders in collaboration with the Field Sales Manager. Participate in supplier initiatives through sales calls and promotional events. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent training and experience Minimum of 2 years' experience in Sales Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software, including presentation tools Results-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills, utilizing diplomacy and discretion Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently or collaboratively, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines Strong analytical and reporting skills Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment Must be at least 21 years of age Valid Driver's License required Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance necessary

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers Regularly required to reach overhead, squat, and bend Ability to carry and lift 45-65 pounds
