Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at RTI Renal Treatment Centers - Illinois, Inc. as a Registered Nurse. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our dialysis center.

Key Responsibilities
  • 30%: Patient Care and Supervision
    • Supervise and perform direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, dialysis initiation and termination, documentation, and physical assessments.
    • Take and transcribe physician orders, and draw and document laboratory work as needed.
  • 20%: Dialysis Therapy
    • Provide dialysis therapy, including formulating dialysis plans, verifying safety measures, administering medications, and discontinuing dialysis according to established procedures.
    • Document all activity appropriately and communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • 20%: Patient Assessment and Analysis
    • Analyze patient assessments, laboratory data, and identify potential concerns to bring to the attention of the physician.
    • Review dialysis orders, document observations in patient medical records, and communicate emergencies and life-threatening complications to supervisors and other healthcare professionals.
  • 15%: Patient Education and Support
    • Assess patient and family learning readiness and provide education on renal disease, dialysis treatment, and medical regimen.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans and monthly progress notes.
    Requirements
    • Associate Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) or three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree.
    • Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) may be beneficial.
    • Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) certification may be advantageous.
