Key Responsibilities of the Bilingual Service Technician:

  • Build and nurture long-lasting relationships with assigned Nielsen Families/Households.
  • Install Nielsen measurement devices in newly assigned households.
  • Ensure that collection and transmission equipment is correctly set up to relay essential audience data.
  • Respond to inquiries from assigned Nielsen Families/Households and maintain equipment functionality.
  • Prioritize, schedule, and complete all tasks in accordance with established policies and guidelines within your designated area.
  • Accurately gather and report demographic and audience data using Nielsen proprietary software.
  • Educate and guide Panel Members on the proper use and operation of Nielsen equipment.
  • Foster cooperation among Panel Members and encourage additional participation in Nielsen studies.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in reading and writing in both English and Spanish.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver television sets.
  • Technical skills, including experience with consumer electronics, software systems, and networking.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Capability to identify and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Minimum requirement of a High School Diploma/GED or 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.

The role demands a willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, engaging with clients in their homes. This includes navigating stairs, elevators, and a variety of entrances, regardless of the home’s condition.

Physical Requirements:

  • Local travel for up to 50% of the time.
  • Driving for up to 8 hours daily.
  • Standing for up to 6 hours daily.
  • Kneeling for up to 2 hours daily.
  • Ability to climb stairs and walk half a mile.
  • Capability to work in all seasons and inclement weather.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

The estimated salary for this position is $48,000, subject to adjustment based on geographic location and individual qualifications.
