Position Summary
The Bilingual Personal Banking Consultant plays a crucial role in assisting clients by addressing inquiries, processing transactions, and opening new accounts while providing information on various products and services. This position is responsible for cross-selling the bank's offerings and ensuring a balanced cash drawer. The Consultant will cultivate and maintain customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and utilizing product knowledge to resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to a diverse range of customer inquiries and requests.
- Handle deposits and withdrawals, ensuring accurate cash management.
- Facilitate the opening of new accounts and offer detailed product/service information.
- Process wire order agreements and other requests, coordinating with relevant departments.
- Maintain compliance by accurately processing transactions and reviewing daily reports.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling FirstBank products and services.
- Achieve sales targets while promoting bank products.
- Understand and comply with account documentation requirements and disclosures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Adhere to workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Work hours may vary between 35-40 hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications
- Entry-level position requiring minimal prior experience.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and either Vietnamese, Cantonese, Chinese, or Mandarin.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cash handling and customer service.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Basic mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working in a sales-driven environment.
- Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Working Conditions
- Primarily stationary during business hours.
- Regular use of office equipment, including computers and printers.
