Sterile Processing Technician, Patewood, Evening Shift

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our Central Sterile Processing Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by preparing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Decontaminate and sterilize medical instruments and equipment using various methods, including autoclaving and high-level disinfection.
- Assemble and prepare instrument trays and sets according to established protocols.
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure proper function and safety.
- Document all activities related to instrument/equipment decontamination, assembly, disinfection, and sterilization in our Instrument Tracking System.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective processing of instruments and equipment.
- Certification as a CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician) is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 6 months experience in a hospital or clinical setting may be considered in lieu of education.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
