Sterile Processing Technician, Patewood, Evening Shift

As a Sterile Processing Technician at Prisma Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by processing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment. This is a dynamic and challenging position that requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Decontaminate and process medical instruments and equipment using established protocols and guidelines
- Assemble and prepare instrument trays, surgical instruments, and equipment for use in patient care
- Operate and maintain autoclaves and other equipment used in the sterilization process
- Document all activities related to instrument and equipment processing and sterilization
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective processing and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment
- Certification as a CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician) is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent and 6 months experience in a hospital or clinical setting may be considered in lieu of education requirement
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
- Strong organizational and communication skills
This is a full-time evening shift position at Patewood Memorial Hospital. The successful candidate will be required to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
