Sterile Processing Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our Central Sterile Processing Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by preparing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Decontaminate and sterilize medical instruments and equipment using various methods, including autoclaving and high-level disinfection.
- Assemble and prepare instrument trays and sets according to established protocols.
- Sort and inspect instruments for damage and report any needed repairs.
- Document all activities related to instrument decontamination, assembly, and sterilization in our Instrument Tracking System.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective processing of instruments and equipment.
- Certification as a Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician (CSPDT) is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent and 6 months of experience in a hospital or clinical setting may be considered in lieu of education requirement.
This is a day shift position located at our Patewood Outpatient Center/Med Offices. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make a meaningful contribution to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
