Sterile Processing Technician

At Prisma Health, we're committed to delivering exceptional patient care and transforming the healthcare experience. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and process contaminated instruments using established procedures and guidelines.
- Assemble instrument sets according to prescribed protocols and document any missing items.
- Sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies using various types of autoclaves and aerators, ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping.
- Issue items to customers and departments according to established procedures.
- Assist with cleaning and maintenance of department equipment, reporting any issues to supervisors.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Successful completion of a Central Sterile Processing Education Program or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology, with certification as a Central Supply or Central Sterile Processing Tech preferred.
- Knowledge of Decontamination, Assembly, Packaging, and Sterilization Procedures, as well as various types of Surgical Instrumentation.
Work Environment
This is a day shift position at Greenville Memorial Hospital, with opportunities for growth and development in a dynamic healthcare environment.
