Sterile Processing Technician, Patewood, Full-Time, Day

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Patewood Outpatient Center/Med Offices. As a key member of our Central Sterile Processing Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Decontaminate and sterilize medical instruments and equipment to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Prepare and assemble instrument trays, surgical instruments, and equipment for use in patient care.
- Operate and maintain autoclaves, aerators, and other equipment used in the sterilization process.
- Document all activities related to instrument/equipment decontamination, assembly, disinfection, and sterilization.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless workflow and efficient processing of instruments and equipment.
Requirements
- Certification as a CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) from HSPA or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician) from CBSPD is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent and 6 months experience in a hospital or clinical setting may be considered in lieu of education requirement.
Work Environment
