Sterile Processing Technician, Patewood, Full-Time

As a Sterile Processing Technician at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by preparing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Decontaminate and sterilize medical instruments and equipment using various methods and techniques
- Assemble and prepare instrument trays and sets according to established protocols
- Document all activities related to instrument decontamination, assembly, and sterilization
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of sterilized instruments and equipment
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance sterilization processes and patient outcomes
- Certification as a Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician (CSPDT) is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent and 6 months of experience in a hospital or clinical setting may be considered in lieu of education and certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
