Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a Box Office representative, Ticket Taker, Usher, and/or Court Monitor based on event requirements and assignments.
  • Possess knowledge of general offerings and details pertinent to the event.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to all attendees.
  • Address all incidents, accidents, injuries, and conflicts effectively.
  • Assist in resolving guest inquiries and direct them to the appropriate management when necessary.
  • Maintain composure in fast-paced and/or high-pressure situations.
Roles
  • Box Office: Facilitate day-of ticket sales using computerized systems, processing payments, and managing cash transactions.
  • Ticket Taker: Ensure proper event entry by scanning tickets and greeting guests upon arrival.
  • Usher: Guide guests throughout the venue while providing general assistance and monitoring designated areas.
  • Court Monitor: Oversee assigned courts and spaces to guarantee smooth event operations.
  • Event Setup/Takedown: Assist in moving, stacking, unloading, and loading equipment necessary for the event.

  • Proficient in multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.

  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Qualifications

To successfully perform this role, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations in English. Proficient in completing incident reports that accurately reflect occurrences. Capable of effectively presenting information and responding to inquiries from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate remaining seating to ensure spectator limits are adhered to. Ability to estimate volume and area.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply sound judgment in resolving conflicts that may arise.

Computer Skills: Knowledge of Google Suite and the operation of Windows-based PCs and peripherals (e.g., printers, scanners, barcode readers, cameras, etc.) is essential.
