Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Scan Technologist to join our dynamic radiology team at Danbury Hospital. As a CT Scan Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic CT scans of patients while maintaining patient safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Introduce and greet patients, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience.
  • Responsible for the care and safety of patients, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Instruct and prepare patients for CT exams, ensuring accurate and efficient procedures.
  • Determine the most suitable anatomical posture and positions, shielding patients accordingly.
  • Produce high-quality CT scans, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Assist with training students and ancillary personnel, promoting knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Interact professionally with patients and family members, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Complete all work before clocking out and leaving, ensuring seamless transitions and efficient workflows.
  • Attend annual hospital reviews and departmental in-services meetings, staying up-to-date on the latest developments and best practices.
  • Practice medical and surgical aseptic procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • May lead, coach, and mentor staff members, promoting growth and development within the team.
  • Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Minimum one year of CT Scan experience, with a strong understanding of radiology principles and practices.
  • BLS, CT State RT License, or New Graduates under CT Temporary Practice Provisions.
  • Valid ARRT, Continuing education, and 24 CEU credits for license.
  • Maintains current knowledge of professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development.
Working Conditions

This role requires significant manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity. The position involves significant occupational risk, with exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, and other environmental hazards. The ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force is also required.
