Position Overview

The CT Imaging Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This position is designed for dedicated professionals who are committed to patient care and safety while performing CT scans.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Welcome and introduce patients to the imaging process.
  2. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout the procedure.
  3. Prepare patients for CT examinations by providing clear instructions.
  4. Determine the optimal positioning for imaging and apply necessary shielding.
  5. Produce high-quality CT images for accurate diagnosis.
  6. Assist in the training and development of students and junior staff.
  7. Maintain professional interactions with patients and their families.
  8. Complete all required tasks before the end of the shift.
  9. Participate in annual compliance reviews and departmental training sessions.
  10. Adhere to medical and surgical aseptic techniques.
  11. Mentor and guide team members as needed.
  12. Fulfill all compliance and regulatory responsibilities associated with the role.
  13. Perform additional duties as assigned.
  14. Be available for on-call duties as required.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • An Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent qualification from an accredited program.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in CT imaging.
  • Current BLS certification and a valid CT State RT License.
  • ARRT certification and completion of continuing education requirements.
  • Experience in patient care within a radiology environment.
Working Conditions

This position requires significant manual dexterity and the ability to handle physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs. The role may involve exposure to various environmental factors typical in a healthcare setting.
