Job Overview

Position Summary

Nuvance Health is seeking a dedicated Part-Time CT Scan Technologist to join our esteemed radiology team. This role involves providing exceptional imaging services while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Key Highlights:

  • Part-Time Position: 16 hours per week
  • Competitive Compensation: Pay ranges from $42 to $52.51 per hour, with additional shift differentials
  • Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 available for qualified external candidates

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Welcome and orient patients upon arrival.
  2. Ensure the safety and well-being of patients throughout the imaging process.
  3. Prepare patients for CT examinations, providing clear instructions.
  4. Determine optimal positioning for imaging while applying necessary shielding.
  5. Produce high-quality CT scans, adhering to established protocols.
  6. Assist in training and mentoring students and support staff.
  7. Maintain professional interactions with patients and their families.
  8. Complete all assigned tasks before concluding shifts.
  9. Participate in compliance reviews and departmental meetings.
  10. Adhere to medical and surgical aseptic procedures.
  11. May lead and guide junior staff as needed.
  12. Fulfill all compliance responsibilities associated with the role.
  13. Perform additional duties as assigned.
  14. Be available for on-call duties as required.

Qualifications:

Required: Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.

Experience: Minimum of one year in CT scanning.

Certifications: BLS, CT State RT License, and valid ARRT certification are essential. New graduates may apply under CT Temporary Practice Provisions.

Working Conditions:

This position requires significant manual dexterity and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Candidates should be prepared for potential exposure to various environmental factors.
