About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Main Street Manager. This is a pivotal role in revitalizing and promoting the commercial corridor of Park Heights Avenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development and Support
    • Provide direct assistance to businesses through knowledge and resource sharing, technical assistance, and funding opportunities.
    • Assess the overall health of the commercial area and execute strategies to improve the corridor.
  • Community Engagement and Partnerships
    • Work with business and community stakeholders to develop and execute a shared set of goals.
    • Create and maintain an inventory of businesses and properties within the main street boundary.
  • Program Management and Administration
    • Coordinate activities and provide support to the Main Street Program committees and task forces.
    • Manage administrative aspects of the Main Street Program, including purchasing, record keeping, budget development, and accounting.
  • Economic Development and Strategy
    • Develop economic development strategies in conjunction with the Main Street Program Committee members.
    • Assist the Main Street Program Committee in developing and implementing an annual action plan.
  • Community Outreach and Promotion
    • Use speaking engagements, media interviews, and personal appearances to promote the program.
    • Assist tenants or property owners with physical improvement projects through consultation and coordination with City agencies.
  • Relationship Building and Data Management
    • Build strong working relationships with public agencies at the local and state levels.
    • Develop and maintain data systems to track the process and progress of the Main Street Program.

  • Business Development and Relationship Building
    • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with private companies and public agencies.
  • Communication and Project Management
    • Exceptional verbal and in-person communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in plain language.
    • Exceptional writing and presentation skills, with experience communicating effectively in a range of written forms.
  • Experience and Skills
    • Experience in project management, with a track record of positive results and increasing responsibility.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse internal and external groups.
