Position Overview:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is dedicated to enhancing the lives of older residents through effective program management and community collaboration. We are currently seeking a Human Services Program Coordinator to play a pivotal role in our Division for Aging Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives that improve the quality of services offered by Virginia's Area Agencies on Aging.
  • Provide essential training, technical support, and guidance to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Analyze program data and prepare comprehensive reports to monitor service delivery.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on caregiver support programs and oversee the Virginia Lifespan Respite Voucher Program.
  • Facilitate collaboration within the Virginia Caregiver Coalition to enhance resources for caregivers.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience: A background in working with older adults and family caregivers, including knowledge of compliance monitoring and federal grant coordination.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and virtual communication tools. Strong ability to convey information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical Skills: Capacity to assess and improve internal processes related to program management.

Additional Considerations:

Familiarity with local and state government operations and the Older Americans Act (OAA) is advantageous.
