The Commonwealth of Virginia is currently seeking a Senior Program Coordinator. This role is pivotal within the Quality Assurance and Accountability (QAA) unit, focusing on enhancing efficiency and accountability in program operations and service delivery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating as a team member in the review of Child and Family Service Review (CFSR) and Title IV-E cases to ensure compliance with financial regulations and documentation standards.
  • Conducting thorough financial and case reviews within local departments to ensure adherence to state and federal laws.
  • Monitoring compliance and developing corrective action plans based on case review findings.
  • Providing technical assistance and guidance to local departments regarding CFSR and Title IV-E policies.
  • Coordinating with state and federal partners on agency-wide monitoring activities.
  • Assisting in the enhancement of automated accounting and reporting systems, along with delivering related training.
  • Contributing to the development and revision of policies and procedures, as well as analyzing state and federal regulations.
  • Supporting supervisors and providing technical assistance to fellow reviewers, including creating and updating Title IV-E policies and developing training curricula.

Minimum Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of Title IV-E program regulations.
  • Ability to interpret complex federal regulations and effectively communicate policies.
  • Experience in applying federal and state laws in a practical context.
  • Proficiency in desktop applications, including MS Office.
  • Experience in leading project teams and providing training.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to analyze and monitor complex issues effectively.
  • Proven decision-making and professional judgment skills.
  • Experience in collaboration and teamwork.
  • Adaptability to changing work conditions and responsibilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Skills in motivating and supporting team members to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Experience in policy analysis and program design.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Additional Considerations

  • Experience with automated accounting and data reporting systems is preferred.
