Job Title: Contract/Grant Administrator

Broward County Florida is seeking a highly skilled Contract/Grant Administrator to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Contract/Grant Administrator will be responsible for procuring, managing, and monitoring high-volume contracts and grants for Water and Wastewater Services (WWS). The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the contract/grant management life cycle, including planning, writing specifications, collaborating with teams, procuring, administering, complying with contract/grant requirements, and monitoring/tracking contracts/grants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, administer, manage, and monitor a high volume of contracts through all stages of contract management life cycle.
  • Perform work activities such as writing contract specifications, preparing supporting documentation, procuring goods and services, preparing requisitions, reviewing solicitations, participating in vendor selection, award, and fiscal year-end/new fiscal year activities, monitoring contractual services, following up on contractual obligations, performing contract management functions, analyzing contractual language and obligations, guiding stakeholders on contractual matters, inspecting contractual work, performing compliance reviews, investigating and handling customer complaints and compliance issues.
  • Perform contract and project coordination activities and coordinate project documentation for building and grounds maintenance, building renovations, and improvement projects, from project initiation to closeout.
  • Utilize computer software, such as PeopleSoft, Maximo, Contracts Central, Legistar, Master Agreement Renewal System, Job Order Contracting Software (e.g. eGordian), Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Prepare complex reports, presentations, and other communications.
  • Complete special projects and other related work as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public or business administration or closely related field.
  • Two (2) years in procuring, managing, and/or monitoring contracts, grants, and/or leases or closely related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of contract/grant management life cycle.
  • Ability to work independently, under limited supervision.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree or higher in Public Administration, Business Administration or a closely related field.
  • Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO).
  • Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB).
  • Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM).
  • Certified Agency Buyer (CAB).
  • At least one (1) year experience using PeopleSoft or similar purchasing software.
  • At least one (1) year experience using IBM Maximo or a similar maintenance management software.
  • At least one (1) year experience using Contracts Central.
  • At least one (1) year experience using Job Order Contracts (JOC).
  • At least one (1) year experience procuring, managing, and monitoring contracts concerning Facilities Maintenance.
Work Environment:

The Contract/Grant Administrator will work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of contracts and grants. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, under limited supervision, and have excellent communication and analytical skills.
