Head of Human Resources

Overview:

We are seeking a Head of Human Resources to collaborate closely with our HR team. This role will involve crafting both tactical and strategic HR support for leaders and employees by actively engaging with business and employee challenges across various North American manufacturing and office locations. The Head of Human Resources will partner with management and staff to implement and guide policies and practices that align with the company's business objectives.

Qualifications (Education)


• Preferred Bachelor's Degree


• At least 5 years of experience in Human Resource Management


• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.


• Capability to interact with all levels of personnel and management throughout the organization.


• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage both resources and personnel effectively.


• Experience with compensation frameworks and market alignment.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).


• Background in performance management and personal development plans.


• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in human resources and integrate relevant insights into our strategies.


• Strong project management abilities, capable of prioritizing and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Responsibilities


• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, recommending best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.


• Assess employee performance, skills, knowledge, and potential to aid in developing career pathways for future leadership and succession planning.


• Responsible for effectively aligning individuals with specific roles, recognizing that role requirements may evolve.


• Establish consistency across all business units regarding risk and compliance management.


• Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and development for staff on policies and procedures.


• Act as a reliable resource for employees concerning HR policies, procedures, and regulations.


• Foster a culture of continuous improvement in both individual and organizational development.


• Develop and maintain an Affirmative Action Program; file necessary government reports and maintain records to comply with EEO regulations.


• Utilize HR data to generate reports and monitor policies and guidelines effectively.


• Maintain a strong customer service orientation with a focus on assisting others.


• Approach complex or unfamiliar problems with curiosity, seeking appropriate inputs to devise optimal solutions; assess situations and make informed judgments based on experience.


• Demonstrate knowledge of coaching methods to encourage and guide individuals or teams in enhancing effectiveness.


• Develop innovative compensation programs that motivate, incentivize, and reward effective performance while remaining competitive in the market.


• Exhibit the ability to facilitate organizational change and connect business objectives with human resource activities.


• Moderate travel may be required.
