Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for performing a range of HR duties, including recruitment, employee maintenance, employee relations, and employment policies.
Key Responsibilities- Recruitment and Staffing: Conduct recruitment efforts for exempt and non-exempt personnel, conduct new-employee orientations, and post job openings. Coordinate all employment testing and background checks, and prepare all required employment documentation.
- Employee Maintenance: Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements, keep employee records up-to-date, and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Administer compensation programs and monitor performance evaluation programs.
- Employee Relations: Partner with employees and management to communicate various HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations. Respond to employee relations issues, such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints.
- Employment Policies: Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars. Maintain company organization charts and employee directories. Assist in evaluating reports, decisions, and results of the department in relation to established goals, and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Terminations: Process terminations, conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
- Unemployment Claims: Represent the company for any unemployment claims.
- Education: Minimum 2-year degree (Associates) in a related field or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in HR or a related field.
- Skills: Good computer skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate, ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
