Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Communications Manager to collaborate closely with the Vice President of Product Marketing & Thought Leadership at AWS.

Role Responsibilities:
The Communications Manager will work alongside the communications lead to execute comprehensive communication strategies that effectively convey the organization’s objectives and priorities.

This position requires close collaboration with the executive team and various departments to develop key messages, prepare speeches and scripts, and facilitate impactful internal and external communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communications Strategy:
    Implement thorough communication strategies that align with AWS's goals and priorities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    Work with senior stakeholders to define essential messages and ensure consistent communication across multiple channels.
  • Industry Monitoring:
    Stay informed on industry trends to identify opportunities for enhancing executive communications.

Thought Leadership and Messaging:

  • Develop clear and impactful messaging for both internal and external audiences.
  • Create talking points, presentations, and other communication materials that align with the organization's vision and objectives.

Support for Internal and External Communications:

  • Assist in preparing executives for speaking engagements, including content creation for meetings and other communication channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment on key topics.
  • Provide guidance to executives during high-pressure situations to ensure timely and accurate communication.

Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of professional marketing experience
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism
- Proven experience in executive communications
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with executives.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using customer research and metrics to inform marketing strategies
- Familiarity with tools for targeting and reporting
- Strategic thinking and proactive communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
