Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at General Dynamics Mission Systems. As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing System Security Plans (SSPs) and supporting Assessment and Authorization documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement SSPs and supporting documentation
  • Experience with eMASS and Service NOW (SNOW) risk management and compliance automation tools
  • Experience with various system security assessment/hardening tools - SCAP Compliance Checker, STIG Viewer, ACAS, etc
  • Trained and proficient in Assured File Transfer (AFT) procedures
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
  • Contributes to the achievement of business objectives
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team throughout the system life cycle
  • DoD Professional Certification meeting IAM Level I (e.g., Security CE, CAP, GSLC)
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of the NISPOM-DAAPM, NIST SP 800-53, and CNSSI 1253
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field
  • 5 years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  • U.S. citizenship is required
