Cybersecurity Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at General Dynamics Mission Systems. As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our information systems.

• Develop and implement System Security Plans (SSPs) and supporting documentation, including Security Assessment Reports, SCTMs, and POA&Ms.
• Perform weekly system audit reviews, media reviews, and hardware/software configuration management to ensure compliance with internal security policies and procedures.
• Execute security testing and evaluation to ensure correct implementation of security controls and support the assessment and mitigation of vulnerabilities throughout a system's life cycle.
• Conduct IA security education training for all system users on appropriate risk mitigation strategies and perform incident response and cleanup actions as needed.
• Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and procedures outlined in the System Security Plan (SSP).

• Department of Defense Secret clearance required at time of hire and Top Secret obtainable within a reasonable time frame based on requirements.
• Experience developing SSPs and supporting documentation, including Security Assessment Reports, SCTMs, and POA&Ms.
• Experience with eMASS and Service NOW (SNOW) risk management and compliance automation tools.
• Experience with various system security assessment/hardening tools, including SCAP Compliance Checker, STIG Viewer, ACAS/Nessus, etc.
• Trained and proficient in Assured File Transfer (AFT) procedures.
• Self-starter with the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.

• Outstanding communications skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team throughout the system life cycle.
• DoD 8570 Certification meeting IAM Level I (e.g., Security CE, CAP, GSLC).
• Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of the NISPOM-DAAPM, NIST SP 800-53, and CNSSI 1253.
